Accessport Vent Mount

This will keep your Accessport secure on your dash. We designed this part with everything in mind so you can enjoy all aspects of it. With this mount, you will be able to comfortably see your Accessport as you drive along those windy roads. The magnetic backing will add that extra layer of protection to prevent your Accessport from moving. The ODB-II cord is fed under the mount and is held in with a perfect mechanical fit. This kit does not require you to drill or cut anything in your vehicle and it will give you enough room to use the thick OEM Subaru sunshade or other sunshades.

Installation Steps:
- Carefully pry up defroster vent on the left side of the dash and remove.
- Feed Accessport cable from the OBD-II connector and have it come out of the opening where the vent was.
- Remove the pre-installed cable clamp from the mount. Most likely you will use this clamp but if you have the older Accessport cable with the “arrow” sticker then you will use the other supplied clamp.
- Feed Accessport cable through the mount and install included cable clamp over the end to secure the cable. (Note: Cable clamp can only be installed one way. Cable should be facing the front and the cable clamp should be on the back of the cable.)
- Press cable clamp into mount to lock into position. This will be tight and you will want to push on both sides until the clamp sits flush when it’s fully installed. Be careful to not apply force to the back of the mount where the round metal plate is.
- Tilt mount to insert the left corner first and then wiggle it into place on the right side.
- Tighten the M3 bolts to secure mount. This doesn’t need to be very tight, just enough that the mount won’t move.
- Insert Accessport and enjoy!
Note: If you would like to remove the mount ever, use caution not to fully unscrew the bolts so that the nuts and bracket don’t fall off.

Installation was very easy and quick, took about 15 minutes or less. The mount looks great compared to my windshield mount, which would create a bit of a blind spot. It is made of ABS so it is pretty solid and the mount shouldn’t have any issues with the heat. When you install the cable and push down on the cable mount, make sure you push all the way down until the mount sits flush or the AP will be sticking out a bit more than it should. I had made the mistake of not pushing the AP cable mount all the way down and the AP stuck out a bit so the buttons did not look even with the vent mount itself. I would definitely recommend this mount, easy to install and makes it a lot easier to install and remove the AP. Thanks!
