Step 1: Carefully pry up defroster vent on the left side of the dash and remove.
Step 2: Feed Accessport cable from the OBD-II connector and have it come out of the opening where the vent was.
Step 3: Remove the pre-installed cable clamp from the mount. Most likely you will use this clamp but if you have the older Accessport cable with the “arrow” sticker then you will use the other supplied clamp.
Step 4: Feed Accessport cable through the mount and install included cable clamp over the end to secure the cable. (Note: Cable clamp can only be installed one way. Cable should be facing the front and the cable clamp should be on the back of the cable.)
Step 5: Press cable clamp into mount to lock into position. This will be tight and you will want to push on both sides until the clamp sits flush when it’s fully installed. Be careful to not apply force to the back of the mount where the round metal plate is.
Step 6: Tilt mount to insert the left corner first and then wiggle it into place on the right side.
Step 7: Tighten the M3 bolts to secure mount. This doesn’t need to be very tight, just enough that the mount won’t move.
Step 8: Insert Accessport and enjoy!
Note: If you would like to remove the mount ever, use caution not to fully unscrew the bolts so that the nuts and bracket don’t fall off.
